Styles
Can I purchase in separates?
Many customers choose to order separates - pants, in particular - for business-casual workplaces. If you plan to order a matching garment at a later date, however, please be aware that our fabric options are prone to change and the fabric or color you ordered last month may not be available next month.

How often do your styles change?
We produce new styles for the Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer collections, but we retain the most popular styles from past collections in our portfolio.

What can I expect to see in the next collection?
To be amongst the first to preview the next collection, join our mailing list.

Where can I learn about the specific details of a Moi-Même garment?
Our website provides copious amounts of information about the tailoring details of our garments. If you have a question that is not addressed there, please just send us an e-mail at contact@moi-meme.com.

May I bring in my own fashion designs?
No, we design our own garments and create our own patterns to ensure we can offer a consistent excellent fit and classic style.

Do you offer Plus size styles?
No, we are unable to accommodate Plus sizes (dress sizes 16+) at this time.

Will I be able to try on sample garments?
If you are a New York City Showroom customer, you will have the ability to try on sample garments to give you a general idea of fit. The actual pattern will be developed to fit your unique body measurements.

Fabrics
How often do your fabrics change?
We offer a new fabric and color portfolio twice each year - when we launch new collections - and we often update fabrics mid-season. Specific fabrics or colors may become unavailable. Our website displays our current fabric offering.

Can I view fabric swatches?
Yes; you may either view fabrics during your personal tailoring appointment, or request that a swatch sheet be sent to you. Just send us an e-mail at contact@moi-meme.com.

Personal Tailoring Appointments
How many appointments are required?
New customers will require an initial measuring appointment (returning customers may skip this step because your measurements will already be on file) and all customers will require 1-2 follow-on fitting and pant-hemming appointments.

What happens during a measuring appointment?
During your measuring appointment, a Style Consultant will take your measurements, privately. The Style Consultant will also help you select a style, shell fabric and lining color. A 50% deposit is required as you place your order.

What happens during a fitting and hemming appointment?
During your fitting and hemming appointment, we will mark your garments for alterations, if required. Please bring the shoes you prefer to wear so we may hem your pants accordingly. After your appointment, our tailor will stitch up the hem to your pants and make any alterations that may be required. Once any alterations are completed, your garments will be ready for pickup.

Do you accept walk-ins?
To ensure we are able to offer you personal and private service, we do ask that you reserve for personal tailoring in advance. You can conveniently make an appointment directly from the website.

How long does an appointment take?
Most measuring appointments take one hour. Fitting and hemming appointments can take anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel an appointment?
You may reschedule or cancel directly from the link provided in your confirmation e-mail or by sending us an e-mail at rsvp@moi-meme.com. There is a $25 charge for missed appointments. To avoid the missed appointment fee, you must cancel or reschedule at least two (2) hours prior to your appointment start time.

Why do you collect credit card information to take an appointment?
We collect credit card information only so that we may charge $25 for missed appointments, in accordance with our missed appointment policy. We do not use the information for any other purpose and you need not use the same credit card to make a purchase in the showroom.

What should I wear to my measuring appointment?
You might find it more comfortable to wear tight-fitting clothing so your measurements can be taken over your clothing.

What should I bring to my fitting and hemming appointment?
It is recommended that you bring your preferred shoes to the hemming appointment.

Must I make a purchase during an appointment?
Not at all; you are welcome to peruse the collection and have your measurements taken. Once your measurements have been taken, you may order at any time.

Can I take my own measurements?
To ensure the consistent measuring accuracy that drives our fit, all measurements must be taken by a trained Moi-Même Style Consultant. You may, however, have your torso measurements taken by a friend, family member or tailor and order shirts online; please see our Shirts page for more information.

What if my measurements change?
If you believe your measurements may have changed since your last fitting, just let us know and we will arrange another fitting for you. See Moi-Même’s Quality and Service Guarantee for more information.

Alterations
Do you charge for alterations?
Two rounds of alterations are complimentary for customers picking up garments in New York City. Once a garment has been accepted by you, we will make additional complimentary alterations if the garment exhibits a fault in stitching.

If you would like to adjust the fit or style of a garment after you have accepted it or if you request alterations beyond a second round, we can also make those alterations for you, in accordance with our alterations fee schedule.

Delivery customers are responsible for their own alterations.

What is your refund policy?
Because your garments are custom made for your body, we do not offer refunds. We do, however, provide a Quality and Service Guarantee to ensure your satisfaction.

Payment
Do I pay when I order, or when I receive my garments?
We request a 50% deposit at the time of order, with the remainder due upon delivery. We will automatically charge your credit card when your garments are delivered to you.

Is the 50% deposit refundable?
The deposit is refundable up to 24 hours from the time the order was placed. After that time, the deposit can not be refunded because production will have already begun on your custom garments.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept American Express, Diners Club, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. We do not accept cash or checks.

Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, we charge all appropriate New York sales taxes, on all orders.

What is your refund policy?
Because your garments are custom made for your body, we do not offer refunds. We do, however, provide a Quality and Service Guarantee to ensure your satisfaction.

Delivery
When will I receive my garments?
Your garments will be ready about four weeks from the date your order was placed. We will contact you when they are ready to schedule a follow-on fitting and hemming appointment.

How will I receive my garments?
You may pick up your garments from us during your final fitting appointment. If you would prefer to have the garments shipped to you, we can accommodate that as well, though for pants and skirts only at this time.

Can you ship my order to me?
We ship both pants and skirts to customers around the country, though your measurements must still be taken by a trained Moi-Même Style Consultant in our New York City showroom. If you choose to have your order shipped, you will be responsible for any hemming and alterations that might be required.

Will you ship garments other than pants and skirts?
No, we only ship pants and skirts at this time. Jackets are the garments most likely to require alterations and they are also the most difficult garments to alter. Additionally, many tailors are reluctant to make alterations of another tailor's work. Thus, to ensure your overall satisfaction with the product and experience, we must perform all alterations of jackets in our New York City showroom.

Do you charge for shipping?
Yes, we charge for shipping and handling.

Will my garments come with a garment bag?
Yes, orders that include a jacket will come with a garment bag.
