Resales

Not happy with the color or style? Because your garments are custom made to meet your personal specifications, like most custom clothiers, we cannot accept returns. And yet, we want to make sure you can feel confident that you won’t be stuck with clothing you will never wear. That’s why we offer a resales service; sell your garments to someone else and design yourself something new! We will help resell your garments for you. Here's how it works:

  1. Contact us to let us know you would like to resell your new garments through our website Sale page. We will provide you with shipping details so you can send your garments back to us.
    • You may send your garments back for resale at any time, provided they are unworn, unlaundered and unaltered
    • We do not accept "used" garments that have been worn or washed
    • We do not accept garments that have been adjusted or altered in any way
  2. Tell us at what price you would like to offer the garments. You may change your price at any time.
  3. We will take care of all the marketing, payment processing and shipping associated with reselling your garments
  4. When your clothing is sold, we will send you payment for the full sale amount. It is not possible for us to estimate how long it will take to sell your clothing.

Exchanges

We can make an exchange if the garment you receive does not match your order (i.e. it is the wrong fabric, style or Personal Fit size). We cannot accept exchanges in cases where the garments were made to the specifications you requested. We can only exchange a garment for fit if it does not match the Personal Fit size ordered (e.g. you ordered "petite" but the garment you received is "tall"). We will expedite a replacement order and we will cover the cost of shipping the incorrect order back to us.

To request a replacement, please complete our Return Merchandise Authorization Request Form, below, within 30 days of receipt of the order. We highly recommend submitting this request as soon as possible after receiving your order because fabric does run out of stock and we cannot guarantee that your fabric will be available. If the fabric you selected is no longer available you will be able to select a new fabric in the same fabric line.

Returns for Refund

As your made-to-order garments are custom made just for you, we do not offer refunds on such garments under any circumstances. We will, however, happily make exchanges in cases where the garment you receive does not match your order (i.e. it is the wrong fabric, style or Personal Fit size).

We do offer refunds for Sale items. You may return an unworn, unlaundered and unaltered Sale garment. You will be responsible for return shipping charges and a $25 re-stocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping charges are not refunded. To request a return, please process a Return Merchandise Authorization within 14 days of receipt.

Changes to Order

If your order has not yet begun tailoring, we can still make changes to it. Contact us to request changes. If there is still time to process a change, we will reach out to you to request more information about the change you would like. It will take 48 hours to confirm whether a change can be made.

Cancellation of Order

If your order has not yet begun tailoring, we can still cancel it. Contact us to request cancellation. If the order can still be cancelled we will automatically reimburse your credit card for the cancelled amount. It will take 48 hours to confirm whether a cancellation can be made.

Order Turnaround & Delivery Times

While we aim to ship your custom order within four weeks and we always make our best effort to do so, Moi-Même does not guarantee turnaround or transit times. Learn more in our FAQ.

Alterations

As with any ready-to-wear garment, you may find that alterations will improve the fit of your garment. Moi-Même does not handle alterations, though we thoughtfully design and construct our garments to make them easy to alter. If you don't have a local tailor, we may be able to recommend one in your area. If you would like a recommendation, please contact us. Moi-Même does not make any sort of reimbursements to cover the cost of alterations.

Before you process an RMA request, please note:

  • Returns must be requested using this RMA form within 30 days of receipt of the order (14 days for Sale items); we will use the shipment tracking number to confirm the date of order receipt
  • Garments must be returned unworn, unlaundered and unaltered
  • We cannot accept exchanges in cases where the garments were made to the specifications you requested
  • We can only exchange a garment for fit if it does not match the Personal Fit size ordered (e.g. you ordered "petite" but the garment you received is "tall")

Your RMA request will be processed within two (2) business days. For made-to-order garments, once your RMA has processed we will:

  • Set aside fabric for your order. If the fabric you selected is no longer available we will contact you to select a new fabric in the same fabric line.
  • Respond with our return address information, if the request is approved. We will begin tailoring your order after we receive your returned garments in the mail.
